On Thursday 18th May 2017, the U15 Cricket girls attended the ‘Chance to Shine’ tournament at Tynemouth Cricket Club. Along with schools including John Spence High School and a team from Alnmouth, we took an A team and a B team. The weather was lovely and sunny which created a great atmosphere for playing cricket. There was a quick rain shower but this didn’t dampen our spirits or stop us from playing some excellent cricket. Everyone played their best as we played 9 other schools from across Northumberland, with all the games being very tight on points. We made it to the semi-finals but lost out by one run. However we all enjoyed the day.
