Adoremus National Young Conference

by Rebecca Mould, Year 13

On Saturday 8th September, myself and Ann set out to Liverpool for ‘Adoremus’ National Youth Conference, accompanied by students from various schools throughout our diocese. The programme started with music from the amazing worship leader Jo Boyce, followed by a short liturgy led by Animate. We then heard from our key note speaker Katie Prejean who blended humour with storytelling to keep us engaged and interested, whilst portraying an important message. After lunch we heard from the Salesians about the inspiring work they do with young people around the world. The day ended with a time of peaceful adoration and confession.

The congress brought young people from around the UK together in faith and taught of the importance of the celebration of the Eucharist. We were blessed to be given the opportunity to go to Adoremus; to be given the chance to grow in faith with other people our age was so valuable and we came away feeling inspired and loved. Now bring on Flame 2019!
