Cambridge University trip

by Stella Pozzi and Aleks Szymczak, Year 11

On the 1st July we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Jesus College, Cambridge, to find out about the university and inspire us to apply in the future.  When we got there, we were given a tour of the campus, which was huge.  We were also given a sample lecture on lasers, which was very interesting.

The accommodation was in the college, where we each got our own student room, with meals provided in the canteen, which we found delicious.  Following our evening meal we had some ‘organised fun’ where we practised our architectural skills by building the tallest tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows.  We won!  We then had some leisure time to spend however we wanted.

On the second day we got a tour of Cambridge and visited some of the other colleges that make up Cambridge University.  Overall it was an amazing experience and we loved it.
