Dominic Dixon bounces to another victory

by Dominic Dixon, Year 9

On Sunday 5th November I competed in the NDP Qualifier trampoline competition in Ashington, run by the NETTC (North of England Trampoline Technical Commitee).

At the competition, I competed against other trampolinists at my level hoping for a total score between the 2 routines of 46 or more, which would give me a place in the next competition in January, and of course all trying to place first, second or third in each routine. When it was my turn to compete, I went through my first routine to the best of my ability and then the second routine at the same standard, earning me a total score of 48 and granting me a space in the next competition in January, a well earned first place and a celebratory McDonalds on the way home.

Earlier this term I also competed for my club, Park Elite, against other clubs in the North of England, where I came third.  I also competed for our school in the North Tyneside Schools Competition and came first, helping to fill up my trophy cabinet and also gaining me a place in the Tyne and Wear Finals on Wednesday 15th November.
