GCSE Art Exhibition

On Thursday 11th May, GCSE Art students had the opportunity to show their Artwork in the annual GCSE Art Exhibition.  This was a great opportunity for friends and family to see the work they have been doing over the past two years.

Ali Balcin:

This exhibition has been held to allow parents to see their child’s artwork they have produced over the past two years. It also shows the development and the quality of the students’ work and celebrates their hard work and effort. I am glad to see how much my work has changed over the years due to learning new artistic skills.

Lucy Penhall:

The exhibition is a way to show our family and friends the amount of effort and the hours of work we have put into our studies. It is also a way of looking back and comparing the start of Year 10 to the end of Year 11 and celebrating the amazing times we have had in Art over the two years.

Madeleine McCabe:

The exhibition allowed me to show the progress I had made over the past two years. It was a great opportunity to see the differences between my pieces and to remember the work I’d done throughout the course.

Najiya Ali:

Looking at all the artwork in the exhibition is a fantastic way to see how much everyone has developed their understanding of different techniques in Art; also to show how we have made our own artwork inspired by a variety of different unique artists. It’s a great way to show to our friends and family how much progress we’ve made and to see how much we have changed.
