Hannah’s 100km Run for Mind

by Hannah Caroline, Year 11

I would just like to let you all know that on the 1st of January 2021 I set myself the goal of running 100km throughout this month (maybe more if I can) to raise as much money as possible for the mental health charity, Mind.

I was blown away by how much support I got from family and friends, and I managed to raise £100 within the first 24 hours.  I would love to keep going as I have now hit £200 after just the first 5 days.

Mental health is such an important issue not only for me but for everyone at the minute. After seeing close family members battle with their mental health, especially with the currently situation, and struggling myself along with so many others, it got me thinking about what I could do to help. With so many people struggling at the moment, mental health charities need all the support we can give them right now.

Knowing that this might help even on a small scale is so worth it!

There is a link here to my page where you can donate as little as £3, follow my progress throughout this month and find out more information about what Mind do.

I hope everyone continues to stay safe throughout the current lockdown.
