Key Fund trip to Exit Newcastle

by Jessica Dickson, Isla Morrin, Laura Nelson and Lauren Stephenson, Year 7

The Key Fund is a charitable not-for-profit organisation that unlocks the potential in young people. To go on our trip we had to plan the day and present it to the Key Fund panel, showing how we had developed Key skills including negotiation and communication. They were interested in what we wanted to do awarded us £250 to go and do the activities.

Our best activity was EXIT Newcastle – this was an escape room where we had one hour to find clues, diffuse a bomb and get out. This was good because we had to use teamwork and knowledge to escape. We really enjoyed our days out and we can’t wait for stage two, where we will plan a day out for £500.
