The Art and English department invited Newcastle University Outreach programme into school on Friday 22nd September to talk about Martin Luther King.…… and they wanted to link to schools to discuss and celebrate the ‘ I have a dream’ speech.
Year 10 GCSE Art and Design and English were happy to look at his speech and analyse the patterns and words used and to try to write their own speeches within the workshop. We looked at symbolism in art and the power it has to make us think, understand and be inspired.
