Night at the Museum

by Abi Cooper, Year 8

On the 1st and the 2nd of February a group of Year 8 students including myself went on a trip to The Hancock Museum.

We participated in a number of activities including handling animals, circus skills and ‘blast from the past’, which was a play about the olden days. As well as doing a lot of activities we got to sleep over at the museum itself.

While we were there we got a tour of the museum and the University. We also took taster session classes from some of the University graduates and teachers from the University, in subjects including Mathematics, Geography and Science.

On the last day we were asked to create a society.  My group’s society was to do with healthy eating and food. We had a poster and a T-shirt to decorate. When we finished we had to go around the room and vote for the society that we liked the most.

I would recommend this for anyone who would consider it in the future.
