Paris in the heat

by Eleanor Adamson and Molly Dutton, Year 10

Our week in Paris was a truly magical one, and by the end of it, the group felt like one big family. Throughout the week we were rewarded with scorching temperatures and no rain (although, not the 40 degrees experienced in Paris the previous week).  All the walking and blisters were well worth it because of the enchanting places we visited.

On the Sunday, after travelling most of the day, we were treated to a drive around the centre of Paris to see some of the famous sights up close.

The Monday and Tuesday were spent visiting all the major sites of Paris including a boat trip down the Seine, the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysées, Montparnasse Tower observation deck to look at Paris at sunset, the Sacre Coeur, Château de Versailles, Musee d’Orsay (a personal favourite) and lots of walking so we could see all the places we didn’t get to visit in that short time.

On Wednesday we spent the full day at Disneyland Paris! Even if not everyone went on all the biggest rides, it was still a day to remember. The fireworks at night were incredible, it really is the happiest place on earth!

On our last day, we went to the shopping centre, Val d’Europe, and spent a few hours shopping before we made our way back home.

The trip to Paris was a memorable one, and we’ve all created memories that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
