Closure of school today due to severe weather
During severe weather conditions, we make every effort to keep the school open. However, in some circumstances, following completion of a risk assessment, we may decide that it is necessary to temporarily close the school.
Regrettably we have had to take the decision to close the school today. Despite our best efforts to make the school site safe, we feel there is a risk of injury to pupils, staff or visitors in travelling to and from school due to the weather conditions.
We have shared this decision with parents as soon as possible.
I’d like to thank you all for your patience and understanding. Decisions to close the school are never taken lightly, but unfortunately may sometimes be necessary for the safety and wellbeing of the school community.
We are currently working on the basis that school will be open again tomorrow as normal. Should there be any change to this plan we will post this on our website and issue another message to parents via ParentMail.
