World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

On Friday 29th September the Year 9 Vocational Studies groups loved hosting the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in the Training Suite to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We firstly went to Tesco to buy the things we needed, including teabags, coffee, and biscuits. We emailed some teachers to invite them to the coffee morning and also made some posters to advertise it in all departments. We were all assigned a job to do during the morning which took us out of our comfort zones. Some of us were nervous but we overcame our fears because it was for a good cause.

Paris, Bailey, Holly and Courtney enjoyed meeting and greeting staff as they came in. Alisha, Kacey, Kieran and Matthew made lovely tea and coffee and served it well. Daniel and Taylor collected donations while Jay, Louis, Reis and Maja passed out cakes and biscuits and stickers to our lovely staff.

We would like to say thank you to those who donated cakes, they all looked delicious! We all worked well as a team and feel very proud that we managed to raise £105.39 for such an important cause.
