Last week, as part of their BTEC Music course, some of our Year 10 students organised a Talent Show for Year 8. The talent show was held on 24th March during period 5.
Many Year 8s auditioned to be a part of the show and they were all fantastic, making it a really tough job to narrow them down to 10 acts. The students who got through were delighted and practised really hard in order to give their best performance on the day.
The Year 10s organised the school hall which was set up with a stage, sound and lights, and there was a fantastic atmosphere from the rest of the Year 8s in the audience; they responded really well and supported all the acts as they performed.
Judging was a very tough job, but Mr Watson, Mrs Flannagan and Mr Cooper coped admirably. After much deliberation, they chose Jacob McCoy as the winner, and made everyone else joint second place!
Jacob sang John Legend’s ‘All of Me’ whilst accompanying himself on the guitar. It was a superb performance and the audience loved him. Every single act was fantastic, bringing great talent and individuality to the event. Well done to all involved!
