Dollars for Dystrophy!

Andrew McCurry, Ross Parkin and Miss Johnson

Members of the Year 13 Employability Group have been fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy this term, raising £355.84 in just one day of cake sales! Despite having a really short time to prepare, and no baking skills whatsoever, the group rallied around, encouraging other students to make donations (thanks Clare Nelson!) and getting help from willing teachers. Despite some Apprentice-style disagreements about stock, the team came together with huge support from lower school as well as Sixth Form.  They would like to say a massive thank you for all your donations; their hard work and the money they raised exceeded everyone’s expectations and went to a brilliant cause, helping children in the North East who suffer from this terribly debilitating condition.
