Last night 7 current students and 1 former student received their John Paul II Award medals and certificates which were presented to them by Bishop Séamus and Fr Paul Farren from the Diocese of Derry.
The students were Elena Jones, Clare Nelson, Charlotte Mapletoft, Corey Graham, Rachel Conner, Rachael Chapman, Samantha Burwood and Hannah Montgomery.
The Pope John Paul II Award enables participants to take an active part in the life of their Church – in the life of their community and society. It enables young people to become more aware of the teaching and role of the Catholic Church in the world and to engage at a deep level with Christ.

It was a fantastic event celebrating the incredible and rich work that young people do. I was so proud of all the students, especially when I had the privilege to call their names for them to meet the Bishop and receive their awards.
