Alnwick Castle trip

by Max Godfrey and Nathan Charlton, Year 7 (now year 8)

On Thursday 18th July, a group of Year 7 students visited Alnwick castle on a school field trip with Mrs Mole and Mrs Robertson. We did two workshops and other entertaining activities throughout the day. We learned all about Sir Harry Hotspur and the defence systems of medieval castles. We were guided in great detail around the castle and got to build our own fantasy medieval castle.

We also went through the dragon’s, quest which was full of frights, screams and of course smiles. We also experienced medieval games like hoops and wooden bowling. The snakes and witches caused some big screams in dragon quest along with the great smoke, holograms and special effects. The mirror maze caused some great confusion and laughs. So all in all a great day!
