On the 25th January, members of the school council, along with some of the PE teachers, had the opportunity to look round the building work currently taking place at St Thomas More. The PE department is being refurbished as well as gaining some new additions including a new dance studio. The gym is being improved, including new changing rooms for both boys and girls. On top of this there will be a new second floor above the staff office and changing rooms, which will incorporate a dance studio that can be split in two for teaching multiple classes at once. The dance studio will feature mirrors, black out curtains, a sound system and seats that pull out from the wall, allowing performances to take place. This will all be linked with an accessible lift from the ground floor. It was very exciting to see all the opportunities that will be available once the extension is finished.
