On the 30th November 2022 a group of students from all year groups went to Monkseaton High School to represent St Thomas More in the North Tyneside Cross Country championships. Many students qualified to represent North Tyneside in the upcoming Northumberland Championships at Temple Park in a few weeks. It was a wet, windy and icy day, but it was still very enjoyable.
After qualifying from Monkseaton we travelled to Silksworth Sports Complex in Sunderland to represent Northumberland in the Inter-county competition on Saturday 4th February. It was a challenging course, however the support from Mrs Plummer and Mr Hitchcock was outstanding for all students competing. It was a great experience for all students across the year groups and we would highly recommend students to give cross country a go.
