On 26th November it was cold and damp, so luckily the Year 7 Athletics competition against the best athletes from local schools was an indoor one. Thirteen schools competed in a variety of track and ‘field’ events. For each track race we entered two boys and two girls, and all did fantastically well, particularly in the relays. The field events were mostly about jumping, how high, how far and how fast you could jump, but we also had an amazing shot putt, watch out Olympics 2028. We were all very proud to represent STM and to place fifth at the end of the day.
